Welcome
Gorwel is a family run holiday cottage which sits on the edge of the Parrog, Newport Bay, in the beautiful Pembrokeshire National Park. The name Gorwel translates to Horizon, which is very apt, as one of the many views enjoyed from Gorwel is that of the setting Sun out to sea, on the Horizon.
Gorwel enjoys a unique position, with 360 degree views of the Sea, the two headlands that make Newport bay, the estuary and Carnigli Mountain. When the tides are at their highest the sea surrounds the cottage on all but one side. This gives the lucky inhabitants of our cosy cottage the pleasure of enjoying beautiful and constantly changing sea views. There is always something new to see, from boats setting out to people enjoying the beach across the sand, cows grazing on the headland or the flight of sea birds up the estuary. We, like so many others, have enjoyed many happy times there and we invite you to do the same.
